About our Speakers
Marsha Walker, RN, IBCLC is the executive director of the National Alliance for Breastfeeding Advocacy, Research, Educcation and Legal Branch (NABA REAL) and past president of ILCA. 

Mishawn Purnell-O'Neal MPH is a co-founder of the African American Breastfeeding Alliance and author of the book, "Breastfeeding Facts Over Fiction, Health Implications on the African American Community"  abd the article, "The Politics of Vitamin D and Breastfeeding."

Katherine (Trinka) Klima, RN, MSN is a certified Nurse Midwife and physician assistant who has been providing health care to women for more than 25 years.  She is currently employed at Henry Ford Health System Dearborn where her patients are predominently immegrant Arab Muslims.  Herself a practicing Muslim, she has presented research on health care of Muslim women to health care professionals at numerous conferences in the US and abroad.
